In this class, I explored the ethical side of instructional design and how culture shapes the way we create learning experiences. Each week, I built an Articulate Rise module that focused on a different ethical or cultural dimension. Some of the topics included designing training with personality in mind, understanding why emotional intelligence matters in instructional design, building learner engagement, using design thinking for effective new-hire onboarding, and cultivating a coaching culture. By the end of the course, I had a stronger understanding of how ethics, empathy, and cultural awareness influence the decisions we make as instructional designers.
